Lindsay Baxter is a State Regulatory and Government Affairs Analyst for Duquesne Light Company. Prior to joining the company in January 2018, she spent seven years with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, most recently in the role of State Program Manager for Energy and Climate. Her past experience also includes serving as the first Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Pittsburgh.
She holds a Masters in Environmental Science from Duquesne University and a Bachelors in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College. As a native of Westmoreland County, Lindsay loves Pittsburgh because it combines the amenities of a big city with the friendliness of a small town. She lives in the East End with her husband, daughter, and Labrador Retriever, Hank. She hopes Co-OP can empower Pittsburghers to ask tough questions and hold their leadership accountable on climate change and energy.
Jana Lake is President of 3R Sustainability and serves as Chief Sustainability Officer and CSR Solutions Lead for 3R’s parent company, SRI Quality System Registrar. 3R serves the Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, and Green Building business needs of its customers and the communities in which they work.
Jana has been in consulting for more than twenty years, ten of which were spent with Accenture where she led a global team of internal change experts who helped the company’s senior leaders accomplish their operational and sustainability mission and objectives. Jana brings a global perspective to sustainability and her clients. Following her BA in International Studies at the University of Michigan, her MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, and her post-graduate studies at the Copenhagen School of Business in Denmark, Jana worked extensively throughout Europe.
As a Certified Sustainability Practitioner (CSR-P), certified AA1000 Assessor, and LEED Green Associate, Jana is an active member of organizations such as International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), Green Building Alliance (GBA), and Sustainable Pittsburgh.
For over 25 years, Jana has worked personally to improve education, engage children in sports, and provide opportunities for girls to become Strong, Smart and Bold. Jana is passionate about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and feels that individuals, businesses, and communities all play a role in working together to achieve the vision of a healthy planet for all.
Katrina Kelly holds dual roles at the University of Pittsburgh as a Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as acting as Manager of Strategy and Business Development for the Center for Energy. Katrina is an Affiliate Scholar of the University of Nottingham's Interdisciplinary Centre for Economics and Politics, and the University of Pittsburgh's Cyber Law, Policy, and Security Institute.
In addition to her current postdoctoral research in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Katrina holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham in Energy Development Studies, a Masters in International Relations from Hult International Business School, and a BA/BSc from Duquesne University. Building off of her previous research on "Resilience" at the World Energy Council, Katrina joins the University in leading in the development of reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly energy solutions. Her work focuses on building stronger physical, institutional, and financial interconnections between energy infrastructure and emerging risks like climate change and cyber; as such, her work focuses heavily on the intersection of information systems and risk mitigation in urban environments. Katrina is passionate about sustainable development and better STEM engagement for women and girls.
